Scholarships
The School of Nursing provides scholarship funds to supplement university-level awards. These scholarships do not require repayment and may be granted for one or more years.
Scholarships may be awarded based on:
- Merit
- Financial need (FAFSA and CSS Profile)
- Donor-directed criteria
To maximize eligibility, complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) each year and keep your My Scholarship Profile in Wolverine Access updated.
Incoming students are typically notified of any School-awarded scholarships within two weeks of receiving their admission offer, while returning students are notified before the start of the academic year. There is no application required to apply.
EPIC Scholarship
Through a generous $2 million gift from the Bedford Falls Foundation, the U-M School of Nursing established the Bill and Joanne Conway EPIC Scholarship. This program provides financial support to eligible undergraduate nursing students, including:
- Stipend support
- NCLEX preparation materials
- Access to academic support services such as peer tutoring and faculty-led mentoring
More than 140 students will benefit from this scholarship over the next four years.
There is no separate application for this scholarship. Eligible students are identified and invited to apply by the University of Michigan School of Nursing. All students, regardless of scholarship status, have access to academic support resources, including peer tutoring and faculty-led mentoring.

Go Blue Guarantee
The Go Blue Guarantee is the University of Michigan's commitment to keeping a world-class education affordable and accessible for all Michigan residents pursuing undergraduate study.
- Eligibility: Michigan families with incomes of $125,000 or less and assets below $125,000.
- Coverage: Continuing and incoming undergraduate students who qualify will receive free tuition. For School of Nursing students, coverage extends to the full cost of attendance, including housing and fees.

Honors Program
The Undergraduate Honors Program provides special opportunities for research and mentorship. Honors graduates are prepared for active engagement in research and other scholarly work with the necessary knowledge, skills and values predictive of successful graduate study. One of the many benefits of being a member of the U-M School of Nursing Honor’s Program is receiving an annual scholarship.
