This course is designed to provide students as present and future leaders with a political, economic, and financial understanding of the health care system. In addition, fundamentals of strategy are introduced to facilitate the merging of the policy and financial side with the clinical dimension. Fundamental changes in system structure brought about by the growth of alternate health care delivery models, ethical issues, quality improvements and other aspects of health care reform will also be stressed.
