Postdoctoral Fellowships in
Women's Health Disparities: Interdisciplinary Training
Goals
One to two year postdoctoral fellowships are funded by the NIH-supported
institutional research training grant to prepare scientists to study the
complex multifactorial causation of women's health disparities. The goals

- Gain expertise in the varied and sophisticated methods needed to develop
complex multifactorial models of care;
- Study health disparities among diverse populations of women and girls
recognizing the intersectionality of gender, ethnicity and class; and
- Collaborate with ethnically diverse communities to conduct research and
foster the development of nurse scientists of color.
Training Support
Training support is for a l- to 2-year period. Annual stipends are set by
NIH based upon years of experience since your doctorate.
