RN Studies: RN-BSN
Prospective RN Studies students, please check the School of Nursing website this fall to learn more about the redesigned program.
Academic choices make the difference. If you're a registered nurse with an associate's degree or diploma, the RN-BSN Program allows you to deepen your education and multiply your career options.
Our program recognizes your previous experience and your unique needs. You can capitalize on your prior education and experience by earning credit with proficiency exams and transfer credits. Meanwhile, your coursework sharpens your critical thinking skills, introduces you to nursing research and evidence based practice, strengthens your leadership skills. Distinctive features of the program include personalized attention from your faculty, low student/faculty ratio, and mentoring to help you achieve your career goals. Projects and learning experiences are individualized to match your area of interest. Classes include a blend of online and face-to-face learning and scheduled to accommodate the needs of the working RN.
You will receive credit for prior learning, usually equivalent to 4 or 5 semesters.
Generous transfer and Credit By Examination options are available. You can
complete the RN-BSN program in two or three part-time years.
The RN-BSN Program brings education directly to you, so you can earn your
degree conveniently. The RN-BSN program is offered in Ann Arbor, as well as
in Kalamazoo and Traverse City. In Ann Arbor, our program is offered onsite
at U of M Hospitals.
