Question: Can I apply on line?
Answer: The University strongly encourages the submission of applications via the web - there are advantages both to the student and the processing staff. Students may also print a pdf version of the paper application. Although the web application is the preferred method, all forms of applications receive equal consideration in the review process.
If you are a R.N. applying to the RN Studies program, please note you must apply through your
local RN program office. Do not apply online for the RN Studies program.
Question: What credentials must be submitted to properly file an application?
Answer: Each program requires different credentials and materials.

Question: How long does it take to process an application?
Answer: It generally takes 10-12 weeks to process a completed application.
Question: What is the undergraduate class profile?
Answer: The middle 50th percentile of the 2006 freshman class
had a recalculated high school GPA of 3.7-4.0, with 27-31 ACT and 1900-2160
SAT
total test scores.
Question: Is it possible to transfer to the University of Michigan?
Answer: Several hundred undergraduates transfer to the University of Michigan each year.
Question: Are internships, cooperatives, and study abroad available?
Answer: Hundreds of internships, cooperatives, and study abroad programs are available.
Question: Is academic support available?
Answer: Yes, there are numerous types of academic support available.
Question: What types of housing are available?
Answer: The University of Michigan offers family housing and traditional residence halls. Non-University housing includes fraternities, sororities, co-ops, apartments, and houses for rent.
Question: Do coed dorms exist?
Answer: Yes, we have co-educational and all-women residence halls.
Question: How do I apply for financial aid?
Answer: You must submit a completed FAFSA application.
Question: How many students attend the University of Michigan?
Answer: The 2006 total undergraduate enrollment was 25,555;
total freshman enrollment was 5,399. The 2006 total enrollment, including
graduate students, was 40,025.

Question: What is the minority and international undergraduate enrollment?
Answer: The minority enrollment is approximately 26% and the
international enrollment is approximately 4%.
