Master's and Post-master's Programs

Applying for the Nursing Education Certificate Program

Currently enrolled UM nursing school graduate students

Students who are in a graduate nursing program at the University of Michigan School of Nursing are eligible to elect the CNE option. (Non-UM students see below.)

Students with a Nursing Master's or Nursing PhD

Students who have earned a master's or doctoral degree in nursing at any accredited institution are also eligible to apply and enroll for the CNE option, and will register as Non-Candidate for Degree (NCFD).

If you are interested in the CNE option and have already completed a graduate nursing degree at either the Nursing Master's or Nursing PhD level and/or both, the CNE option is available as both a post-master's or post-PhD certificate.
