  • Chronic disease patient self-care management; including diabetes, cardiovascular and respiratory failure populations
  • Graduate nurse professional socialization

Ms. Price is an accomplished educator whose career has focused on educating nursing students in didactic and clinical components of high acuity medical surgical nursing care. Ms. Price has particularly focused on educating senior nursing students and facilitating their transition into professional nursing practice. She maintains a clinical practice on moderate care units at UMHS.

Teaching

Ms. Price teaches primarily at the undergraduate level in high acuity, complex care nursing courses. She has taught both in didactic and clinical education settings, as well as mentored students in independent study clinical opportunities. Ms. Price has developed and implemented evidence-based projects with students in the undergraduate program.
