Ms. Anderson has been a certified nurse midwife for over ten years and through her experience she has gained an increasing interest in preventing teen pregnancy. She is currently working on a qualitative study analyzing adolescent sexual behaviors. Her past research focused on waterbirth.

Teaching
Ms. Anderson teaches in the undergraduate and graduate programs. She also precepts students in her private practice at Women First Health Services. Her teaching methods vary and her beliefs around learning are broad but her overarching goal is to help students find their own style of learning so that they can continue the ongoing process of education throughout their lifetime. She approaches her courses as well as her one-on-one student-preceptor interactions to meet the needs of the given students.
