Population –focused Interventions
Professor Clemen-Stone has extensive experience in population-focused community and public health nursing practice. She uses this knowledge to translate research into practice, as she instructs the next generation of nurses and nursing scientists on population-focused, health promotion interventions. She has a particular interest in addressing the needs of vulnerable populations such as those experiencing health care access or food insecurity issues. Her interest in examining alternative health care delivery systems led her to take a group of students to China to study these systems.
Professor Clemen-Stone’s twenty years of experience of writing and editing textbooks provided nurse educators around the nation with a rich resource as they developed strong educational programs. Her co-authored textbook, Comprehensive Family and Community Health Nursing: Family, Aggregate and Community Practice, has served the profession for several decades.
Professor Clemen-Stone has made a long-term commitment to the study and practice of nursing ethics. She continues to chair and to serve on a state ethics committee.
