My research focuses on the interaction between life-style factors such as exercise and nutrition, and cognitive processes and how these relationships affect behavior. My current research, which has received funding from NIH, looks at the interactive effects of genetic predisposition for obesity and exercise and diet on cardiovascular risk in both genders. This new knowledge may lead to a greater understanding of how lifestyle changes can be individualized to more effectively reduce cardiovascular risk.
