Quiz Card Instructions
Overview
Use the templates below to make question/answer cards that can be used on
their own or as part of a number of instructional games.
Template Features
- Each template is designed to print directly onto 3"x5" index
cards - you should be able to load index cards into the paper tray of most
printers.
- The Word template is the most intuitive to use. Full instructions are
on the template.
- The Excel and FileMaker templates also have the ability to import questions/answers
from other sources (e.g., textbook companion CD), and to add metadata,
such as topic, chapter, level of difficulty, etc. and sort by these factors.
Tips for Use
- The quality of your game depends on the quality of your questions. Take
the time to find or write challenging questions that encourage critical
thinking!
- Answers may be multiple-choice.
- You can print questions and answers on separate cards, or print the answers
on the backs of the question cards.
- If you print questions and answers on separate cards, be sure to number
the Qs and As so students can match them up without your help. This is
important because you might have small groups working together autonomously.
- Put a "series name," such as "N101 Ch. 2" or "Drug
Side Effects" on each set of cards so you can find and sort them quickly.
