Good news! Converting a Microsoft Excel tables and charts to the web is about as easy as saving the file - in fact it is saving the file. (If you use another program such as Appleworks, FileMaker Pro, or Lotus 1-2-3 to create tables and charts you will be able to open them in Microsoft Excel.) After you've opened your table or chart in Excel make sure it looks just as you would like it to look on the internet. Now choose File -> Save as Web Page...
Decide whether you'd like to save all of your data as a web page or simply the table or chart. Most likely you'd rather post only the table or chart. If you'd like to specify a title, click the Web Options button then click the General tab to type in a title. When you're finished, choose a file name (make sure it ends in .htm or .html!) for your table or chart and click the Save button. Tip: Using Your Chart or Table as a GraphicIf you want to save only the image of your table or chart follow the above procedure (File -> Save as Web Page...) then open the new folder created by Excel. (filename_files). You'll see a file with a .gif extension. This is your image file! You can change the name to whatever you want.
