Nursing Reunion 2006
Honors to two outstanding Michigan Nurses!
At a reunion luncheon on October 20, 2006:
Associate Professor Emerita Marjorie M. Jackson was recognized in a proclamation
from the State of Michigan as a pioneer in nursing, particularly her mission
in developing the Clinical Nurse Specialist Advanced Practice role.
Also, Professor Emerita Lois W. Gage was given a proclamation at this luncheon
by the State of Michigan as a pioneering leader in nursing for development
of the Nurse Practitioner curriculum and role in the State of Michigan.
Both of these special tributes were signed by Bruce Patterson, State Senator
and Jennifer M. Granholm, Governor, on October 6, 2006, and can be viewed at
