Preparing for Travel

Checklist covering essential steps to successful global travel -- a must for anyone planning a trip abroad (provided by the International Center)
 
International Travel Information and Registry
Allows travelers to register their itineraries and travel plans with the University to facilitate communication in the event of an emergency -- highly recommended for all students and faculty going abroad.
 
As of September 1, 2011, the University of Michigan has purchased blanket policies to cover faculty and permanent staff (including dependents and spouses/domestic partners) free of charge while traveling internationally on university business. Students, as well as faculty and all staff traveling for leisure, will be able to purchase travel insurance at a nominal daily cost.
