UMHS Poster Day: Clinical Innovation, Evidence Based Practice and Research

  • Monday, September 17, 2012;  4:30 - 7:00 p.m. and Tuesday, September 18, 2012; 8:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.
    (authors present Mon. 4:30 - 6:00 p.m. and Tues. 12:00 - 2:00 p.m.)
  • View over 44 posters that describe clinical innovation, evidence-based practice and research conducted by nursing clinicians at UMHS and School of Nursing faculty.
  • Awards Ceremony:  Tuesday, 2:00 p.m. with remarks by UMHS Chief Nursing Officer Marge Calarco.

This event is co-sponsored by UMHS Nursing, Rho Chapter and the School of Nursing. The Rho Chapter is again sponsoring the People's Choice award. This event is free and open to all Rho members.

  • Cost:  $20 for IPN and Sigma Theta Tau-Rho Chapter members; $30 for non-members; retiress and nursing students (ADN or BSN, working on first nursing degree) are only $10.00. This fee includes both the meal and CE.

Annual Rho Chapter New Member Induction and Awards Ceremony

This year the Rho Chapter is combining their New Member Induction Ceremony with the annual Awards Ceremony.  Please come to welcome the newest Rho Chapter members and acknowledge your colleagues' leadership and excellence in nursing.  Please consider nominating a colleague for an award no later than February 17, 2012.

Annual Region 10 Research Conference: Bridging Nursing Leadership and Research Diversity and Civility in Nursing: Connecting for Health

Last year's conference received high praise from attendees. This year promises to be even better. Featured speakers include Dr. Sally Decker who will speak on 'Aesthetic Knowing: Understanding Civility and Diversity' and Dr. Phyllis Kritek who will speak on 'Civility: Precursor to Collaboration'.  Please plan to attend!

University of Michigan librarian Marisa Conte shares her expertise on how to find, evaluate, and organize information from the web. Join your friends and colleagues for a light dinner while earning 1.0 CE. We'll end the evening with a raffle of made-in-Michigan baskets.
