The World Health Organization Collaborating Center for Research and Clinical Training in Health Promotion Nursing

In August 1997 the World Health Organization designated the University of Michigan School of Nursing as a WHO Collaborating Center for Research and Clinical Training in Health Promotion Nursing. This designation recognized the excellence of the School's programs in health promotion research and training. In keeping with the mission of the University, the faculty of the School of Nursing are committed to globalizing the education, research and service initiatives of the School, and for mobilizing its unique strengths in health promotion practice, education, and research with diverse groups. In collaboration with international colleagues, the Center addresses health promotion needs of individuals, families, and populations, through research, training, and leadership development.
