Location,
Dates, and Time
For the 2007-2008 school year, we will be having our discussions on the third Tuesday of the month except for November. We alternate times between 12-1 or 5-6. Please look up each month to find the time. All discussions will be held in room 1334 except October. The October bookclub will be in 2184 so we can have access to conference calling. The author has agreed to join us for the discussion by phone. Light refreshments will be provided.
All students, faculty, and staff are welcome to attend! Please Join Us! Don't have time to read the book? Come anyway!
This year, we will be utilizing discussion questions for some of the books. You can view the questions by clicking on the month on the right side. This will take you to the description for that month's book. Clicking the "discussion questions" button next to the book's information will take you to the discussion questions.
Books
You can see the complete list of this year's books here.
How can I get involved?
There is no formal "membership" in our book club discussion groups.
We offer monthly discussions on a variety of topics and issues,
and welcome anyone to attend. Students, faculty, and staff at
the School of Nursing at the University of Michigan may borrow
books pending availability from the Office of Multicultural Affairs.
Even if you don't have the time or opportunity to read a book,
discussions are often animated and lively. Also, books on tape
may be available at your local library.
