Job Description for Peer Facilitators

Peer Facilitators are nursing students who have been highly successful completing the difficult courses they will be facilitating. Sophomore, Juniors, Seniors, and Graduate students are eligible to apply. Each Facilitator meets for two hours-weekly sessions with their respective Participants for group study. They assist Participants with routine study activities, emphasizing learning strategies, test-taking skill, and provide information regarding behaviors most appropriate for learning specific course content. Facilitators report directly to the Project Director on Participant activity, not to course Faculty. Facilitators are required to spend an hour a week of preparation time for the study group sessions. Facilitators are compensated for the weekly two hour study group session with participants, weekly meeting time with the Project Director and preparation time.
