2012 Suzanne H. Brouse Lectureship and Reception

Dr. Virginia Tilden, Dean Professor Emerita, Univ. of Nebraska Medical CenterOn Wednesday, April 11, 2012, the U-M School of Nursing hosted its second Suzanne H. Brouse Lecture. This year’s keynote speaker was Dr. Virginia Tilden, Dean and Professor Emerita at the University of Nebraska Medical Center College of Nursing, where she also holds an adjunct professor appointment in the UNMC College of Medicine.
 
Dr. Tilden presented “Advance Care Planning for End-of Life: State of the Science, State of the Art” to lecture attendees. Also, U-M School of Nursing Dean Kathleen Potempa and Dr. Jennifer Christner from the U-M Medical School presented the 2012 Excellence in Interprofessional Collaboration for Better Patient Care Award to the following people for their work on two important video projects, Evan Mayday’s “Good Death” and Difficult Decisions in Pediatric Care: Just Because We Can, Should We?
