COFVE welcomes new members at any one of three levels (Regular, Associate, or Student) of membership by submitting an application for COFVE membership approval.

Regular

Applicants for regular membership must demonstrate: 1) scholarly, teaching, practice, or policy activity related to COFVE's focus and 2) willingness to contribute toward achievement of COFVE's aims. Any faculty member (tenure track, research track, clinical track, or instructional) of the School of Nursing or the University of Michigan may become a regular member by submitting an application for COFVE membership approval.

Associate Level

Associate membership is open to: 1) individuals within the School or University (e.g., post-doctoral fellows, professional research staff) or 2) individuals outside the University who desire to participate in Center activities and initiatives. Applicants for associate membership must demonstrate: 1) scholarly, teaching, practice, or policy interests and activity related to the Center's focus and 2) willingness to contribute to achievement of the Center's aims.

Student Level

Any student of the School of Nursing who has demonstrated interests related to the mission and aims of COFVE may join. Student members can convert to associate membership upon completion of their educational program by writing to the Director.
