Post-Doctoral Training Fellowship
About the Fellowships
With support from the National Institute of Nursing Research (NINR), the School of Nursing offers post-doctoral training fellowships in health promotion and risk reduction interventions. The program reflects the exciting and conceptually coherent integration of two foci, namely health promotion/risk reduction interventions and vulnerable populations. Through one to two year post-doctoral fellowships, our goal is to prepare nurse scientists to study the fundamental mechanisms underlying the health promoting behaviors of individuals and aggregates, and to test the efficacy of theoretically valid and culturally appropriate interventions for vulnerable populations. Learn more about our current and past fellows.
Training Support
Training support is available for a one to two year period. Annual stipends are set by the National Institutes of Health (NIH) based upon years of experience since completing a doctoral degree. Additional funds are available to cover conference and research-related expenses.
